De Nijs processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

• Address
• Phone number
• Email address

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old. Unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us at privacy@denijs.nl, and we will delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

De Nijs processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Sending our newsletter
• To be able to call or email you if necessary to provide our services.

Automated decision-making

De Nijs does not make decisions based on automated processing regarding matters that can have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without any human (for example, an employee of De Nijs) being involved.

How long we retain personal data

De Nijs does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.

Sharing personal data with third parties

De Nijs provides information to third parties only when necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

De Nijs only uses technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone during your first visit to this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website functions properly and, for example, remember your preference settings. We can also use this to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser to no longer store cookies. Additionally, you can also delete all information that has been previously stored through your browser settings.

View, modify, or delete data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by De Nijs, and you have the right to data portability. That means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization you specify. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to privacy@denijs.nl. To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identification along with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible, but within four weeks, to your request. De Nijs also wants to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. How we secure personal data

De Nijs takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration.
